Airship Ventures
Airship Ventures is working with a number of science research partners to maximize the opportunity presented by this unique platform to conduct earth and atmospheric science, both of which have been done by the Zeppelin in the past, as well as more traditional blimps.
Apprion Inc.
Security and Operational Optimization Applications; Apprion develops software for securing wireless sensing technology for commercial facilities such as refineries and factories as well as for space exploration. The company has a Space Act agreement to develop photon-related sensing capabilities with applications ranging from bio-monitoring to the structural integrity of spacecraft.
Aramira/Jumping Beans
Enterprise Distributed Computing Integration; Jumping Beans offers a distributed computing environment through which developers can build "jumping applications" that jump from machine to machine while executing. The company anticipates potential collaborations with NASA in areas ranging from IT management and enterprise computing to remote sensing.
Bloom Energy
Bloom Energy is a fast-growing, venture capital funded company in the alternative energy field, developing and marketing cost-effective, clean, high-efficiency and reliable solid oxide fuel cell systems. Their products will offer NASA best of breed future technologies for power generation, energy storage and in-situ propellant production.
Changene
Changene is a biotech company that is developing a drug therapy, Pincta, to treat bone loss. The company collaborated with the Ames Advanced Supercomputing group to conduct dynamic simulation studies of the oyster gene on which their drug is based.
Digiproofs
DigiProofs sees their area of expertise - compression, storage, and distribution of digital images - as a core issue for NASA and is currently pursuing collaborative imaging projects throughout the space agency.
DOE, Special Technologies Lab
A subcontractor for DOE, collaborating with the NASA World Wind Team to develop and advance the World Wind Geospatial Visualization Toolset.

Mental Health Scenario Planning/CDC SBIR; e4Xchange develops and commercializes technology and science applications that further research and innovation. The company is currently working on the application of nano particles to inkjet printing technology.
Ecliptic Enterprises Corp.
Ecliptic Enterprises, with offices in Pasadena, Calif., creates on-board imaging systems for use with rockets and spacecraft. Its current product in this area is called Rocket Cam. In a current collaboration with NASA, Ecliptic has an onboard imaging system on the LCROSS mission.

IIS Corp. intelligent fault diagnosis and prognosis software for aircraft and spacecraft applications. CEO Hamid Berenji has been with Ames Research Center since 1986 and is an active IEEE Fellow.

SAIC is the largest employee-owned research and engineering firm in the United States. They have won various contracts with NASA such as the Unified NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS) and a more recent contract that will provide atmospheric science research and technology support services to LaRC Atmospheric Sciences Competency (AtSC).
