Advanced Maglev
Advanced Maglev, together with it sister corporate entity
Unimodal,Inc. is developing the SKYTRAN Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system,
an extremely light high speed transportation system--that will use a network
of elevated guideways on which small, computer controlled, magnetically
levitated vehicles will operate in urban settings. With 200 MPG fuel
equivalent fuel efficiency, the Skytran model will be both sustainable and
convenient.
Airship Ventures
A California corporation that recently purchased one of the three Zeppelin airships in the world from Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik, Germany, has leased Hangar 2 to store and protect the airship from severe weather and perform occasional repairs and maintenance. and Bldg. 20 to establish their corporate HQ site. NASA Ames plan to collaborate with Airship Ventures on its lighter than air technologies for atmospheric research and the development of cleaner and more efficient transportation for tourism. Airship Ventures offers flightseeing tours primarily for the Silicon Valley, San Francisco and the Sonoma/Napa Valley wine country tourism market.
Bloom Energy
Bloom Energy is a fast-growing, venture capital funded company in the alternative energy field, developing and marketing cost-effective, clean, high-efficiency and reliable solid oxide fuel cell systems. Their products will offer NASA best of breed future technologies for power generation, energy storage and in-situ propellant production.
Changene
Changene is a biotech company that is developing a drug therapy, Pincta, to treat bone loss. The company collaborated with the Ames Advanced Supercomputing group to conduct dynamic simulation studies of the oyster gene on which their drug is based.
Digiproofs
DigiProofs sees their area of expertise - compression, storage, and distribution of digital images - as a core issue for NASA and is currently pursuing collaborative imaging projects throughout the space agency.
e4Xchange
Mental Health Scenario Planning/CDC SBIR; e4Xchange develops and commercializes technology and science applications that further research and innovation. The company is currently working on the application of nano particles to inkjet printing technology.
Ecliptic Enterprises Corp.
Ecliptic Enterprises, with offices in Pasadena, Calif., creates on-board imaging systems for use with rockets and spacecraft. Its current product in this area is called Rocket Cam. In a current collaboration with NASA, Ecliptic has an onboard imaging system on the LCROSS mission.

Google and ARC will pursue R&D collaborations on large-scale
data management, massively distributed computing, BIN convergence, and R&D
activities to encourage the entrepreneurial space industry.
International Network Solutions Inc.
International Network Solutions Inc. is a Telecommunications network engineering and software development firm focused on designing highly automated carrier grade broadband networks worldwide(i.e. WiMAX/ LTE/UMTS). Its customers include Google, AT&T, and Verizon. It maintains and operates Google Free Access Broadband network in Mountain View CA.
Silicon Valley Unwired Inc. was founded by Andrew Gold of I-Net Solutions Inc. and Karl Garcia of Google to develop a business model for deploying sustainable free access broadband systems throughout the world. They recently won the contract to further develop and operate the municipal WiFi Broadband network for the city of Milpitas, CA and are seeking to build additional networks throughout Silicon Valley.
Global Wireless Communications Inc manufactures rapidly deployable mobile tower systems for WiMAX and other broadband/cellular systems. We manufacture the strongest temporary and temporary to permanent mobile tower systems in the industry and currently have 90ft, 106ft, and 120+ft models available for purchase/ lease or rental. Our towers are the dominant choice in areas where access to fixed infrastructure is limited or costly, or they can be used for demonstration, testing, or emergency communications purposes as well. We have an extensive history of deploying unlicensed WiMAX and licensed WiMAX and GSM/UMTS systems on our mobile platforms and have a new container shippable model which can be shipped worldwide.

InformArt/GaryAir provides information technology solutions to the transportation industry with a particular focus on the air taxi sector. Services include flight Instruction, marketing, and systems engineering and testing.
Intelligent Inference Systems (IIS) Corp.
IIS Corp. intelligent fault diagnosis and prognosis software for aircraft and spacecraft applications. CEO Hamid Berenji has been with Ames Research Center since 1986 and is an active IEEE Fellow.
IntelligenTek Corp.
IntelligenTek specializes in the security field, with products that include License Plate Recognition (LPR) software, Object-Tracking (OT) software and 3D face-recognition technology. Their current customer base includes several Pacific Rim companies.
Intrinsyx
Intrinsyx, an information systems company, is currently collaborating with NASA Ames under a Support Services Contract to support all aspects of the Constellation Data Systems Project under the Moon-Mars Initiative. Their work includes systems engineering, requirements management, enterprise architecture, IT security, semantic modeling and software development for a large number of enterprise applications. Intrinsyx won the Ames “Sub-Contractor of the Year Award” from NASA Headquarters in November 2008 for this work. Intrinsyx also provides software, documentation and analysis for the Aviation Safety project (Code T) and other Ames IT projects. Intrinsyx is also solely responsible for developing the Security Operations Center (SOC) Incident Management System implementation. In September 2008, two Intrinsyx personnel received an Ames Honor Award for their work on the Security Operations Center.

M2Mi (Machine-to-Machine Intelligence)
M2M (machine-to-machine) technology networks assets so they can communicate to each other and provide the end users with information they can act upon. In an effort to make this process more efficient and to enable machines to make choices without human intervention, NASA Ames Research Center, www.arc.nasa.gov, Moffett Field, Calif., and M2Mi Corp., www.m2mi.com, Moffett Field, Calif., have agreed to work together to develop ‘automated machine-to-machine intelligence.’ The two organizations will cooperate to evolve automated M2M intelligence specifically for space missions. M2Mi says a satellite that would repair itself in low orbit is an example of how the new, automated M2M intelligence could be used in the future.

NASA Ames Research Center is developing flight software for spacecraft using Model Based Software Development (MBSD) methods and tools. Millennium Engineering and Integration Company (MEI) has considerable expertise in this advanced-technology area, and our engineers are working onsite at NASA to assist NASA engineers on two programs. This provides an opportunity for collaboration on simulation model components, joint coordination of MBSD toolset needs with tool vendors, and coordination of lessons learned in modeling, simulation, code generation and targeting of generated code to flight processors and real-time simulators.

Pragati develops innovative technologies for analyzing intelligent software systems. Its flagship product is an analysis tool suite called Expozé, which provides the infrastructure for analyzing large semi-structured information systems such as expert systems, knowledge-bases, databases, and other semi-structured text. Pragati is pursuing collaborations with the Ames IT division, and has current contracts with the intelligence community, US Navy and US Air Force.

reQall designs and delivers innovative VOIP application solutions for mobile phones and is pioneering the next wave of voice based technologies for all communication devices. They recently released their first product, reQall, a virtual personal assistant.

RMV Technology Group, LLC, a high technology engineering & testing company, provides ESD mitigation services for advanced & engineered materials, satellite systems, Triboelectrification & electrostatic attraction issues, robotics, solar panel charging including long term storage solutions of packaging/materials for the aerospace/defense, space technology and medical device sectors.

SAIC is the largest employee-owned research and engineering firm in the United States. They have won various contracts with NASA such as the Unified NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS) and a more recent contract that will provide atmospheric science research and technology support services to LaRC Atmospheric Sciences Competency (AtSC).

Tesla Motors Tesla Motors technology is it’s 100% electric powertrain. They are currently testing the battery technology here at NASA Ames to validate the abuse tolerance and effectiveness of their design. The battery pack of the Tesla Roadster electric vehicle is one of the largest and technically most advanced Li-ion battery packs in the world. It is capable of delivering enough power to accelerate the Tesla Roadster from 0 to 60 mph in about 4 seconds.
Tibion
Tibion develops bionic medical devices for those with loss of muscle function due to disease, injury, aging or surgery. Tibion's products provide exo-skeleton assistance, resistance and rehabilitation of muscle function via a combination of patented, sensor-driven, actuator technologies and advances in embedded systems and orthotic science. Tibion's first product, the PowerKnee, attracted NASA’s interest and may be a suitable application for reducing muscle atrophy and bone loss in space.
